Many people can't stand the truth. But sometimes, the truth hurts. And that's exactly what cyclist Lance Armstrong did when he dropped his doping charges with the USADA, meaning he is now banned from cycling for life along with seven Tour de France medals being stripped.

"Any time we have overwhelming proof of doping, our mandate is to initiate the case through the process and see it to conclusion as was done in this case," USADA CEO Travis Tygart told ESPN.

It's sad to see things like this, but Armstrong but all of this on himself.

"I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999. The toll this has taken on my family and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today -- finished with this nonsense," Armstrong said.

If he was truly innocent, he would probably be fighting this case until he hits his grave. He dominated this sport; there had to be at least some chance of him doping.

Most likely, the reason he stopped fighting is because of the evidence, in which he definitely doesn't want to come out. However, many people will be pushing for it. Eventually, it seems like it will come out.

It was fun while it lasted, Lance.
