Small tiffs and brouhaha’s are the norm for any football training camp. Coaches just hope no one gets hurt and that things don’t get personal.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting that Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor and wide receiver Antonio Brwon were involved in their second on field scuffle Sunday.

After practice ended Sunday, Taylor reportedly went after Brown a third time and had to be separated by Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin dismissed the incident.

“We’re competitors … those things happen,” but this went beyond the usual training-camp tussle.

“These guys understand what we’re working for, and when we step into stadiums, we’re together.”

“When you fight your brother, sometimes, it gets a little heated … the guys understand what that’s about, and they’ll leave it on the grass where it should be.”

The incident started after Taylor broke up a pass intended for Brown.  After wrestling for the ball, the two got back to their feet and Brown swung on Taylor.  After an intense goal line period that the defense dominated, practice was ended and Taylor went after Brown again.

They reportedly walked off the field together, so no one should be alarmed.

I think Ike Taylor is still having that nightmare of Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas running away from him on his 80 yard touchdown pass during Wild Card weekend last season.
