Tennis star Maria Sharapova is getting into the food business, reportedly starting a candy business called "Sugarpova."
The company made it's debut Monday in New York as it's one of Sharapova's many projects after already working several other companies like Nike with sportswear and such.
”I wanted to own something — something 100% me. Where I make all the final decisions; here I’m involved from start to finish; where I was bringing in my own people I want to work with and investing my own money. I wanted fun and young and nothing too serious. That’s how it came about with candy.”
Sharapova says it took 18 months for this concept, saying it's like "getting pregnant twice."
Best of luck to Maria with her newest project!
