Running back Michael Turner has issued an apology to his teammates and Atlanta Falcons fans for his drunk driving arrest, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Turner said on Wednesday morning that he made “a bad decision” before being stopped by police hours after helping the Falcons beat the Denver Broncos, 27-21.

Turner was doing 97  mph in a 65 mph zone and was taken to jail and charged with a DUI.

Turner stated “ he’s sorry for the embarrassment he’s caused the team and vows to do the right things to address the matter.”

He expects to play Sunday against his former team, the San Diego Chargers.
