The Seattle Seahawks have released veteran tight end Kellen Winslow as all NFL teams were to cut down their rosters to 53 players, reports ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Winslow, a nine-year pro, has played for the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being traded to Seattle in a trade after not wanting to be with head coach Greg Schiano.

Winslow was pretty good in Tampa Bay before his production fell last season. The release comes as one of the more highlight moves of the off-season, especially for Seattle who have also release Terrell Owens earlier.
