Last Wednesday, during the NFL season-opening game in where the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants, owner Jerry Jones and his son-in-law Shy Anderson were the butt of countless jokes because of Jones having Anderson clean off his glasses.
Today, Jones and his son-in-law are trying to get the last laugh by profiting off the moment. The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Jones will now be introducing the new Jerry Wipes Cleaning Cloth.
Yes that’s right. They’ll be available on the team's official website in a short time.
Anderson stated, “They can also be used for spontaneous shoe shining, if necessary. It started out as a joke, but let’s see how far we can take it.”
Shy also explained what happened Wednesday night.
Jerry never talks to anybody during the game. He is so focused. But he started asking, ‘Where’s Witten?’ I was looking over his shoulder and I could see his glasses were completely smudged. I said: ‘Seriously, Jerry? Let me see your glasses.’ I actually had an eyeglass cloth in my pocket.”
TV cameras caught the rest as Shy patiently cleaned the glasses and handed them back. There was no audio, so America did not hear Jerry’s response: “Oh, my gosh, I can see!”
People will laugh at the thought of Jerry Wipes, but with such a huge fan base with the team, I expect Jerry Wipes to be a top seller.
