People joke all the time that New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow is such a polarizing and popular figure that he could probably run for political office right now and win.

We all know that won’t happen now, but don’t rule out a Senate seat somewhere in his future.

The New York Post is reporting that a political future for Tebow "is a possibility.”

"I haven’t ruled it out. Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I’d love to do. I haven’t ruled out anything like that," Tebow said. "It won’t be anytime soon in my future, but it’ll be something I’ll at least look at and consider one day."

Short of a serious public relations disaster, Tebow can probably do just about anything he wants and have people behind him. I personally won’t be shock in 20 years or so to see Tebow holding some sort of political office.

I’ll keep my thoughts on whether or not that office is President of the United States to myself.
