Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia: The Chiefs offense only averaged about 13 points a game this season, in most part due to the terrible play from their quarterbacks, Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn. With Andy Reid likely the new head coach in Kansas City, look for the new regime to start fresh with a new face. Geno Smith fits that mold and style of Reid's offense. |
2. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS |

Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State: Jacksonville use to have a pretty good defense, but not this year. They finished 31st in overall defense and were near the bottom of the league in sacks. Enter in the "Germantor", Bjoern Werner. The stop-gap solution in Jason Babin will make way for the sack-artist in Werner to succeed. |
3. OAKLAND RAIDERS |

Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah: The Raiders have a lot of size on their defensive line with names such as Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly. Those names are likely gone though with expiring contracts and lack of production. Oakland has been lacking a true beast in the middle for years now. Star Lotulelei will help clog up gaps and help a terrible run defense in Oakland. |
4. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES |

Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M:With the play of the Eagles offensive line this year, this is a no-brainer pick. Michael Vick and Nick Foles were on the run all season due to their poor line. Jason Peters injured his Achilles in the preseason and didn't play all year. Luke Joeckel will help protect Foles' blindside as he did for Heisman winner, Johnny Manziel. Joeckel seems like the perfect fit in Philadelphia. |
5. DETROIT LIONS |

Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M: Back-to-back Aggies are selected as Damontre Moore heads to Detroit. Kyle Vanden Bosch is getting up there in the age department and Cliff Avril looks like a goner as he's looking for a lot more money on the free agent market in March. Moore was a beast in Aggie Land this year. Replacing Avril or Vanden Bosch will help the Lions get younger and have more production. |
6. CLEVELAND BROWNS |

Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia: Cleveland has a lot of needs on defense, as they go with the best player available on that side. That player is Jarvis Jones out of Georgia. Jones was dominant in the SEC this season and will be dangerous being opposite of Jabbal Sheard in Cleveland. A nice young duo looks to be in place at the Dawg Pound. |
7. ARIZONA CARDINALS |

Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan: I was tempted to go with a quarterback here, but there will be good value in the second round. The Cardinals offensive line couldn't block anyone this year. Taylor Lewan is the second best tackle on the board here who will help protect Kevin Kolb or a rookie's blindside next season. Good fit here for Lewan and the Cardinals.

8. BUFFALO BILLS |

Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas: This is a reach for Buffalo, but they are desperate for a quarterback. Chan Gailey was fired as head coach on Black Monday as the Bills look to hire a whole new regime. Wilson reminds me of Jay Cutler due to his toughness in the pocket and his arm strength. Wilson should be able to do well for the Bills next season, especially with a solid running game led by C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson. |
9. NY JETS |

Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State: The Jets can not and should not trust Mark Sanchez after their debacle this season. Mike Glennon isn't the sexiest pick for the Jets, but he is a fresh face to lead the offense next season. Glennon is a statue in the pocket, but has a big arm and height that will excite scouts. I would not be surprised to see the Jets reach for Glennon here. |
10. TENNESSEE TITANS |

Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama: This is a no-brainer pick for the Titans as well here. Tennessee's secondary was terrible this season and adding a star cornerback like Dee Milliner should help change that. A duo of Jason McCourty and Milliner should get Titans fans excited for the future. |
11. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS |

Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon: San Diego would have loved to see Lewan drop here, but they will have to settle for another pass-rusher in Dion Jordan. Jordan is a versatile rusher that can get to the quarterback quick and can also cover. He's oozing potential as his ceiling is very high. The Chargers should pounce on the chance of taking him. |
12. MIAMI DOLPHINS |

Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama: Even though a lot of Dolphins fans will want to take California wide receiver Keenan Allen, the smarter choice is Chance Warmack here. This beast on the offensive line for Alabama is a special talent. He's been dominating in the SEC and should be an All-Pro on the next level. I see the Dolphins getting Greg Jennings in free agency instead, so that should limit the need of Allen. Warmack should be the choice here for the Dolphins. |
13. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS |

Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State: Ronde Barber is reaching his final years in Tampa Bay and losing Aqib Talib to a trade didn't help the Bucs either. Jonthan Banks is a tall corner who should excel on the next level. Replacing Barber in Tampa Bay is a need for them and they get it here with Banks. |
14. CAROLINA PANTHERS |

Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State: Jonathan Hankins is a pure run-stuffer and should help the Panthers in the trenches. Their defense was torched all year long, but Hankins will plug up gaps to limit the runs. Carolina has been ignoring this need, but this year they need to address it. |
15. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS |

Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU: Barkevious Mingo is a freak of nature. He is very fast off the ball and is a monster to contain for offensive lines in the SEC. He terrorized Clemson all game in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl and he will do the same in the NFL. The Saints need a pass rush and they will surely get it from Mingo. |
16. ST. LOUIS RAMS |

Keenan Allen, WR, California: The Rams need a number one wideout for Sam Bradford. Keenan Allen is a speedster that will help spread the field for the Rams. A young trio of Allen, Danny Amendola, and Brandon Quick looks bright for Bradford and Rams fans. |
17. PITTSBURGH STEELERS |

Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame: The Manti Te'o wait is over. He ends up in the perfect situation in Pittsburgh alongside Troy Polamalu and company. Te'o should come in right away and start for the Steelers as James Farrior is getting up there in age. I see lots of accolades coming for Te'o in his NFL career.

Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas: Dallas needs help in their secondary, as they were torched all season long. Gerald Sensabaugh is their big name at safety. That should change with Kenny Vaccaro. He should bolster that secondary by leaps and bounds. |

Ezekiel Ansash, DE/OLB, Brigham Young: Ezekiel Ansah is a project kind of pick. The New York Giants said the same thing about Jason Pierre-Paul and that paid off big time for them. Osi Umenyiora is likely on his way out and Ansah should come in and replace him. Maybe Ansah will have a big pay off like JPP did for the Giants. |
20. CHICAGO BEARS |

Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan: Eric Fisher is a 6-7 lineman with a mean streak. He excelled against inferior competition in the MAC. It will be interesting to see how Fisher's game translates to the NFL. Chicago needs line help as J'Marcus Webb has been mediocre and Gabe Carimi is injury-prone. Fisher should step right in and start in Chicago. |
21. CINCINNATI BENGALS |

Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State: Outside of Rey Maulaluga, can you name a Bengals linebacker? As I don't follow the Bengals, I can't. Arthur Brown is a tackling machine and should do the same in the NFL. A Maulaluga-Brown duo in the linebacking corps will be entertaining to watch. |

Johnathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina: With their second pick in the first round due to their trade with Washington last season for Robert Griffin III, look for the Rams to address their offensive line issue. Cooper is a great run-blocker and will help create holes for Stephen Jackson and protect Sam Bradford. Cooper is the second best guard outside of Warmack and should succeed on the next level. |
23. BALTIMORE RAVENS |

Eric Reid, S, LSU: Eric Reid is a ball-hawk on defense for the LSU Tigers. Does that remind you of Ed Reed, Ravens fans? Reed is getting older and won't play forever, and he could retire alongside of Ray Lewis at the end of the season. Reid will play alongside Reed or replace him in Baltimore. Eventually, the Ravens will have to address this need. |
24. MINNESOTA VIKINGS |

Cordarrele Patterson, WR, Tennessee: Christian Ponder needs more weapons to be successful in Minnesota. Enter in Cordarrele Patterson from Tennessee. He's a big-play, explosive wideout who will play well opposite of injury-prone Percy Harvin. He could become their top wideout as well if Harvin isn't re-signed. It's a risk worth taking here for the Vikings. |
25. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS |

Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama: The Colts need that run-stuffer in the middle of their new 3-4 defense. Jesse Williams fills that need. Chuck Pagano will be all over this pick as Williams fits perfect in the Colts system. Antonio Johnson is not a capable starting 3-4 nose tackle for the Colts. Williams will do wonders to stop the run for this team. |
26. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS |

John Jenkins, DT, Georgia: Seattle doesn't have much needs, so they will take the best available player in John Jenkins. He's great at stopping the run and will be an upgrade over Alan Branch on their defensive line. Jenkins is the smart pick for Pete Carroll and company in Seattle.

Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama: Barrett Jones is a plug-and-play kind of player on the offensive line. Jones is very versatile as he can play center, guard or tackle at sometimes. Green Bay could use Jones as center to replace the aging Jeff Saturday and Evan Dietrich-Smith. Jones would do well protecting Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. |
28. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS |

Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri: Sheldon Richardson is a great pass-rusher as a defensive tackle. He did well against SEC offensive lineman and showed he can be a force in the NFL. Justin Smith is getting up there in age and the 49ers could draft his replacement for the future in Richardson. |

Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU: This may be a little bit of a reach for Kevin Minter, but he's a tackling machine. The Texans have had injury issues in their linebacking corps. Minter would come in and give the Texans depth and possibly start for them. He's a potential steal in this draft with his nose for the football.

Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia: Wes Welker may be on his way out of New England as he wants a new contract and a lot of money. Tavon Austin is a speedster and is another toy for Tom Brady to play with. He could be their slot reciever next season to utilize to spread the field. Brady would certainly enjoy adding another weapon to their already explosive offense in New England. |
31. ATLANTA FALCONS |

Sam Montgomery, DE/OLB, LSU: Atlanta ranks near the bottom in sacks with 29. Sam Montgomery would come in and help try to buck that trend. He has a top-notch motor and would eventually replace John Abraham on the line. If he lives up to his potential, Montgomery could break out in the NFL. |

Matt Elam, S, Florida: Matt Elam is a hard-hitting safety that would help the older secondary of the Broncos. Champ Bailey is getting up there in age, as well as Andre Goodman. Elam could come in and make an immediate impact in Denver. He could have been fined if it were possible for all the hard hits he made at Florida. Elam will be a great player in the NFL that wideouts will want to avoid across the middle. |
