Andrew Bynum, who has missed the entire season due to bone bruises in both of his knees and has yet to make a single appearance for the
Philadelphia 76ers yet this season, is now cleared by the doctors to resume running activities, according to
CBS Philly.
When asked about his potential return to the basketball court, Bynum -- who averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds last season with the
Los Angeles Lakers -- said “around the All-Star break.”
This year’s All-Star break starts goes from Feb. 15-17, so let’s hope Bynum can recover without another setback as he’s available to return in a month.
The 25-year-old went through a light workout in front of reporters from Philadelphia earlier Monday. Even though he hasn’t played in a game yet, it’s good to see the big man go through some basketball activities for once. When healthy, Bynum is one of the best centers in the NBA.
The Sixers are currently 16-22 and would currently be out of the playoffs if it started today.
