LaMarcus Aldridge January 2013

Golden State Warriors 108, Cleveland Cavaliers 95

Even without four of their top players, Golden State found a way to win. Klay Thompson led the Warriors with a career-high 32 points while Jarrett Jack had 26 points and 12 assists. Stephen Curry, Andrew Bogut (not playing back-to-back games), Carl Landry and Harrison Barnes were all out for Golden State. Kyrie Irving, who played sick,  scored 14 points on 5-for-17 shooting.

Milwaukee Bucks 117, Detroit Pistons 90

Detroit lead by nine points after the first, but then Milwaukee outscored the Pistons by 19 and 13 the following two quarters to put the game away. Brandon Jennings scored 20 points in the third quarter. The Bucks have won eight of 11 under Jim Boylan. Pistons rookie Andre Drummond had 18 points and 18 rebounds, becoming the second teenager to have an 18-18 game since the 1985-86 season.

Portland Trail Blazers 106, Dallas Mavericks 104

The Blazers, who trailed by 21 points in the third, needed every second to get away with the victory. Dirk Nowitzki and LaMarcus Aldridge made back-to-back three-pointers to tie the game at 104 with 4.9 seconds left.

O.J Mayo got called for an offensive foul that left Portland with the ballwith 1.5 seconds remaining. This led to Aldridge making a jumper that gave his team the victory. Portland was led by Aldridge’s 29 points and 13 boards, while J.J. Hickson added 26 and 15 rebounds. Nowitzki had his best game of the season, getting 26 points.

Los Angeles Lakers 111, New Orleans Hornets 106

The Lakers' new-found system is clearly having an impact, as they won again.

Behind Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Earl Clark, the Lakers acquired a 18-point lead with five minutes remaining only to let New Orleans back in the game after Greivis Vasquez’ three-pointer cut the Lakers' lead to 102-101.

After the Hornets run, Clark made a layup, Steve Nash had a three-pointer to finish the future-Pelicans off.  Bryant came closer to yet another triple-double, getting 14 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists. Howard led the Lakers in scoring with 24 points. The Lakers have now won three straight.
