Phoenix Suns center
Marcin Gortat used Twitter as a way to let everyone know that he wants
Stan Van Gundy as the new coach of the team. The Suns parted ways with head coach
Alvin Gentry on Friday after the team started 13-28 on the season. They currently have the worst record in the Western Conference.
Here’s what Gortat tweeted:

Gortat, 28, was coached by Van Gundy when both were part of the Orlando Magic franchise. Even though Gortat had more opportunities to score and got more playing time when he got traded to the Suns in December 2010, he seems to appreciate all the effort (at least defensively) Van Gundy showed while he coached him.
This became evident when Gortat blasted the Suns for being “soft” when he joined the team. Gortat’s points per game, shooting-percentage and rebounds are all down from last year, however.
