NCAA Basketball: North Carolina State vs Virginia

The North Carolina State Wolfpack (16-6, 5-4 ACC) are currently on a two-game losing streak and are facing another daunting task when they take on the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils (19-2, 6-2 ACC) on Thursday.

NC State beat Duke 84-76 at home on Jan. 12, but one of the major reasons why was due to the stellar play of point guard Lorenzo Brown, whose status is still unknown for the battle on tobacco road this Thursday.

Brown sprained his left ankle during last week's loss at Virginia, and was forced to sit out of Saturday's home loss to Miami. Both losses knocked the Wolfpack out of the top-25 for the first time this season.

NC State head coach Mark Gottfried stated that he did not know if star point guard will be ready, which is a cause-for-concern for the Wolfpack heading into Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Blue Devils are looking to avenge their loss, and if Brown does not suit up for the Wolfpack, many believe Duke will do just that.

Brown has been averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game this season.
