The Pittsburgh Penguins just can't be stopped. They've won 13 consecutive games, improving to an overall record of 26-8.
The Penguins most recently defeated the Montreal Canadiens in a narrow 1-0 shutout victory. They lead the entire NHL in victories, as they even have more than the Chicago Blackhwaks. The Blackhwaks previously had a 24-game win-streak; however, that included overtime-losses.
The record for most consecutive victories is 17, which is held by the 1992-93 Penguins. That team won the previous two Stanley Cups led by Mario Lemiuex. On the other hand, however, the 1992-93 Penguins lost to the New York Islanders in the second round of the playoffs.
