The Miami Hurricanes just lost star point guard Shane Larkin to the NBA, but reinforcements are coming in the form of a tough-minded transfer.
Kansas State point guard Angel Rodriguez is transferring to be closer to his family in Puerto Rico, and CBSSports.com is reporting that he will be going to the University of Miami. The 5-11 sophomore point guard will attempt to get a waiver from the NCAA to play next season due to health issues with his family, sources say.
Rodriguez averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 assists last season for a Kansas State Wildcats team that won 27 games. If granted a waiver by the NCAA, he’d step in and fill the void created at point guard.
