However, this week was not one for the winners. Something that is very rare for Boston sports fans, but this past week was all but just lose-lose situations for them and their teams.
And there were four of them.
But before we begin, remember Boston, you still got the Red Sox, who currently who hold the best record in the National League.
Aaron Hernandez's Murder Case
New England already has enough risk of not seeing Rob Gronkowski much on the field this season, and now they risk losing another star tight end Hernandez. These two have clearly been one of Tom Brady's favorite targets in the past few years, but this season may be a bit different for the three-time champ.
It doesn't look like Hernandez will be able to pull off an O.J. Simpson here, either. Too much evidence has it that he's done something with the murder of Odin Lloyd.
Boston Celtics: End of an Era
It doesn't look like Kevin Garnett will be joining Rivers in Los Angeles unless if the NBA ends up allowing it. Paul Pierce is still in question, but don't expect him to stay either. As it looks like right now, both players will end up elswhere or they will just simply retire.
This just leaves one star on the team in Rajon Rondo, and there has already been rumors of him heading to the Indiana Pacers. He'll likely want out after what has just happened.
But hey, who knows, maybe Boston can turn it around quickly. But first, they're gonna need to find a new coach.
Ray Allen Wins a Ring With the Heat
Allen could have stayed with the Celtics for more money and give it another go with Garnett and Pierce, but left to join LeBron James and take his talents to South Beach. It turned out well for Allen, who hit one of the biggest shots in NBA history in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, helping Miami win it all when it was all said-and-done.
Allen now has his second ring, while Celtics fans stayed pissed.
Bruins Lose the Stanley Cup
The Bruins had Game 7 in grasp, but choked their lead in Game 6 as the Chicago Blackhawks ended up winning their second Stanley Cup in four years.
What an awful week for Boston sports fans.
