In a promotion called "Farm and Ranch Day", the Texas Rangers decided to hold a small pre-game mini game with the Kansas City Royals. This was an awesome event, with participation from both teams.

The first competition was none other than the famous egg toss.
Justin Grimm and
Derek Holland, pitchers of the Texas Rangers, competed against infielders
Chris Getz and
Elliot Johnson. Whoever picked the Rangers team should be fired, as infielders are known to have the best hands on major league rosters. As such, the Kansas City Royals won this competition.
Next up was a cow milking competition which featured Royals catcher
George Kottras (left) versus
Robbie Ross (right), a reliever for the Rangers.

Again, poor management of the team's rosters proved to be disastrous for the Rangers, as firm-handed Kottras pulled out the victory. He even recieved a trophy for his triumph.
