Jay-Cutler-2013-NFL-Quarterback-RankingsESPN’s Ron Jaworski has been doing 2013 NFL Quarterback Rankings called the “Jaws’ QB Countdown”, ranking each starting quarterback in the NFL.

Jaws clearly knows a lot about quarterbacks, but I’m not sure I agree with most of his rankings. With that, I took it upon myself to make my own QB rankings. These rankings are based off a combination of things, such as arm capability, winning, leadership and the eye test.

Without a further ado, here's the second part to my 2013 NFL Quarterback Rankings (here's part 1 if you missed it):

20. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals Dalton put up some very solid numbers last season, throwing for 27 touchdowns and nearly 3,700 yards. However, he really struggled down the stretch for the Bengals. In his last five meaningful games, Dalton only managed to throw for three touchdowns. He also was nonexistent in the Bengals' playoff loss to the Houston Texans.

19. Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs Before losing the starting job in San Francisco to Colin Kaepernick last year, Smith was playing some very good football, completing over 70-percent of his passes. Smith is more of a game manager-type quarterback, but if he keeps on winning football games, who cares.

18. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers Newton has all the talent in the world, but just needs to become more consistent with his footwork and his ability to read defenses. If Newton can become better in the pocket, the NFC South division better watch out, because this Panthers offense could be deadly.

17. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears Cutler has one of the best arms in the NFL, yet he fails to live up to expectations year after year. Cutler has been called a “gun-slinger” by the experts. That shouldn’t be the case under new coach Marc Trestman, who runs a West-Coast style of offense. It’ll be interesting to see how Cutler reacts to this new offensive system.

16. Phillip Rivers, San Diego Chargers Even with a subpar receiving core and a shaky offensive line, Rivers managed to put up very good numbers last season. Just imagine what he could do with some top-notch receivers and a little time in the pocket.
