Lawrence Moten SyracuseLawrence Moten didn’t do much in the NBA, but who can forget the kid from Washington, D.C. who dominated The Big East with his long socks and awkward, but deadly, game?

Moten was a smooth swingman who was able to play small forward or shooting guard for head coach Jim Boeheim and Syracuse, from 1991-95.

Moten, who is Syracuse and The Big East's all time leading scorer at 1,405 points, will have his jersey retired at an undetermined date some time this coming season, according to Syracuse.com.

“Hopefully it will be a Duke game,” Moten said. “It’s one of the biggest games on the schedule. I envision them putting the court in the middle of the Dome. It’s just my vision.”

Moten’s jersey ceremony will come on the heals of the university and athletic department switching over to the ACC.
