Mike D’Antoni is extremely optimistic about the upcoming 2013 version of the Los Angeles Lakers.
D’Antoni looks forward to a full season with the Lakers and told ESPN Los Angeles that he think the purple-and-gold can be better than most people think.
“I think we can be better than most people think. I think Mitch [Kupchak, Lakers general manager] and [owner and executive] Jim Buss have done a great job of retooling as well as we could.”
D’Antoni’s not necessarily sure of his lineups, but likes the versatility they can offer.
“A lot of combinations can happen. The guys that come in [to camp] and win the battle — they will they settle [the rotation] amongst themselves. I foresee 11 guys playing a lot of minutes.”
