Antonio Cromartie is the New York Jets unquestioned team leader, so it was no surprise that the cornerback took Jets fans to task for booing Mark Sanchez during a recent scrimmage.
Sanchez was asked by the New York Daily News why fans would boo their quarterback as he worked to improve?
Sanchez said, “Hey, you’re preaching to the choir.”
Sanchez then added he was happy to have Cromartie on his side.
“You heard what Cromartie said. Cromartie was pissed. Cromartie’s like, ‘What are you talking about? You’re going to come here and boo? For what? Then don’t come.’ A lot of guys feel like that."
Fans make the game go around, and Sanchez is fully aware that fans can boo him anytime they choose.
