For weeks, we’ve been speculating on how much time New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes will miss at the beginning of the season.
According to the New York Post, Holmes has told friends and those close to him that he expects to miss at least the first four games of the season.
The Jets may now decide to leave Holmes on the PUP list, which would shut him down for at least six weeks.
Without Holmes, the Jets will trot out Stephen Hill, Braylon Edwards, Clyde Gates, Jeremy Kerley and a bunch of no-names for quarterbacks Geno Smith or Mark Sanchez to throw to.
