Yesterday, it was reported on 49ers star linebacker Patrick Willis leaving practice with a hand injury."Patrick Willis is not practicing. He appears to have injured his right hand," wrote Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that X-ray’s performed on Willis’ right hand today confirm a fracture in that hand. The 49ers have stated that they will “proceed with caution” when it comes to Willis’ recovery and eventual return to the field.
Willis has broken his right hand two other times in his career, and still has made six straight Pro Bowls.
The 28-year-old had 120 tackles and two interceptions last year. He enters his seventh season with 812 tackles, 14 forced fumbles and seven interceptions for his career.
