Revis Island is officially back, and will be open for business in the season-opener versus the New York Jets.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are being careful with his rehab from last year’s knee surgery, but all signs point to the dominant Revis returning five weeks from now.
Bucs general manager Mark Dominik told Peter King of TheMMQB.com that he was “almost certain” Revis would be able to go in against the Jets.
Revis was asked how he felt he would respond.
“Not really,’’ he said. “I’m very confident. Very. My mindset is, when they tell me I could cut, I figured it meant I could cut hard on it. I did, and it didn’t hurt and the knee didn’t swell. And I’ve been out there putting pressure on it and it hasn’t hurt. So I feel when I get out there, I’ll be confident I can do everything I need to.”
