Wrestling fans can now breathe a sigh of relief.
For 2020 Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo, the sport of wrestling has officially become reinstated. Seven months ago, that seemed unlikely when the International Olympic Committee removed the sport from the games.
Wrestling was able to beat two other sports, getting 49 votes. The other sports was a combined baseball-softball one that had 24 votes, while squash got 22.
What saddens me is how wrestling got removed in the first place, or the fact that those two sports -- especially squash -- were able to get actual votes.
What do you think of this latest decision by the Olympic Committee?
