Baltimore Ravens wide receiver/special teams returner Jacoby Jones suffered a terrible injury in the 2013 NFL season opener on Thursday against the Denver Broncos, in which he got decked by his own teammate.
Jones called a fair catch on a punt return play, only to get knocked out from his own teammate, rookie Brynden Trawick, who accidentally came running at him. A rookie mistake led to a bad injury for Jones.
Luckily for the 29-year-old, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would have been. Many started thinking it would be a torn ACL or something on that scale. According to reports, Jones suffered a sprained MCL and will be out for about four-to-six weeks.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh addressed the matter about Trawick, as many folks chanted on Twitter that he should be cut.
"That's an experience problem; he's an inexperienced guy," Harbaugh said.
Right now, judging off the 49-27 beating from the Broncos, the Ravens have a lot more to address on their roster than just Jacoby Jones.
