It seems like only yesterday that the Miami Heat were winning their second straight NBA title, and appearing in their third straight finals series. Well, NBA training camps are set to open in the next week or so, and the time for bold predictions and fortune-telling is among us.
TNT analyst Steve Kerr is one of those offering their predictions earlier than usual. Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Kerr predicts the Chicago Bulls would knock off the Heat this year.
“There’s a reason these teams don’t do it. Emotionally, it’s just exhausting to keep doing it year after year, particularly when you have to deal with everything Miami has to deal with on a daily basis, just the constant critiquing and scrutiny on the team, and then you factor in the injuries with Wade and Bosh and their health. I don’t think Miami will get out of the East this year….
“I just feel like it’s all sort of teed up for Chicago with Rose coming back, guys like Noah and [Taj] Gibson entering their prime. I think Chicago will have something special this year.”
What do you think of Kerr's prediction? Can a stacked Bulls team with a healthy Derrick Rose coming back knock off LeBron James and the Miami Heat?
