With EJ Manuel out several weeks with a knee injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Bills will start practice squad member Thad Lewis at quarterback on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Thad gives us the best chance. We’re going to give him an opportunity to see what he has,” Bills head coach Doug Marrone said.
Lewis started one game for the Cleveland Browns last season, a 24-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. He was 22-of-32 for 204 yards with one touchdown and one interception in that game. The Bills reportedly are close to signing Pat White as well.
