Cole, for his part, says he’s just trying to stay focused and ignore the NBA trade rumors.
“I can’t control that,” Cole said. “The only thing I can do is control what I can control and that’s to make sure I’m in the best shape, make sure I’m ready to perform and make sure when I get out there I show what I can do. Anything else, I can’t control that so I don’t worry my mind about that.”
Cole likes his role with the Heat, and doesn’t want to go anywhere.
“I’m comfortable with the guys, with the coaching staff, with the team,” Cole said. “This is all I know. I’m blessed to be in this position.”
Cole has done pretty good so far in his two years in the NBA, being a key player off the bench with the Heat. As aforementioned, he has tons of potential. Of course, the Cleveland State product also has two championship rings.
