Tony Romo ranks sixth in the NFL this season in fourth-quarter passing with a 101.9 rating. He has completed 69.5 percent of his passes in the final 15 minutes for 454 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, according to the Star-Telegram.
Those stats alone are the reason Jones feels comfortable in saying that his quarterback "is the best in the business in the fourth quarter.” Jones then elaborated on his statement via his weekly radio show.
“I’m expecting to win it. I hadn’t booked it, but we had ‘em against Denver. And we’ve got a quarterback that’s the best in the business in the fourth quarter. He’s the best. He can make it happen when it’s not there. Other than being ahead with the ball, there’s no one I’d rather have at this time than to have Romo trying to get us down the field in a short period of time.”
