Freeman still gets paid his total salary for the year. Once he clears waivers (someone could make a claim, but it is unlikely), he will be free to sign with any team of his choosing.
Freeman struggled this season, unable to get any good game in at all. He had a completion percentage of 45.7, has 571 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions and a 59.3 QB rating in three games on the season.
He finishes his career with the Bucs with 13,534 yards, 80 touchdowns and 66 interceptions, 58.2 completion percentage and a 78.8 rating.
