Nate Burleson Injury: Lions WR Says He'll Still Gain 1,000 Yards Receiving

Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson has some lofty expectations for a guy who can’t even eat and drive right now. Burleson, who broke his arm in a car crash last week, vows to return and return in a big way.

The veteran wide receiver told the Detroit News that he’ll be back soon, and still will gain 1,000 yards receiving in the 2013-14 NFL season.

"When I get back, I’m still going to try to go after that 1,000 yards,” Burleson said. “So that means I’ve got to have enough games to do it, which means I should be back soon.”

Burleson had 239 yards through three games, meaning he needs 761 to get to 1,000 now.
