NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network’s “NFL GameDay Morning” that the Houston Texans starting quarterback would be benched if his troubles continue Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
Texans sources have confirmed that Schaub’s job is at risk after coach Gary Kubiak nearly replaced him with backup T.J. Yates during the week.
Schaub has thrown nine interceptions on the year, with a pick six in a NFL-record four straight games. Rapoport was told if the turnovers continue, it’s simply “not fair” to Schaub’s teammates to keep him in.
