After the Miami Heat guard recorded three steals against the Washington Wizards on Sunday night, Chalmers let it be known that he was chasing and trying to break the NBA's single-season mark for steals.
"What's the record for steals in a season? I'm going for that," he said.
Chalmers, of course, is chasing the 301 steals recorded by Alvin Robertson in 1985. He would need to average 3.7 steals per game to break that mark.
