Russell Westbrook is back, y'all! The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard will be returning to the court and will be making his 2013-14 NBA season debut tonight versus the Phoenix Suns.
Thunder beat writer Darnell Mayberry has more on Westbrook's return:
Westbrook will be a huge upgrade for the Thunder, who have been without him dating back to April. Westbrook is in for a major rebound season, and has a chance to prove how good he really is when stacked up next to the league's top point guards like Chris Paul, Derrick Rose and Tony Parker.
Looking forward to seeing how he does tonight versus Phoenix.

Westbrook missed out on the Thunder's postseason after going down with injury, and it definitely hurt OKC, who were knocked out in the second round of the playoffs by the Memphis Grizzlies. That loss proved how much Westbrook is worth to the Thunder, and that Kevin Durant will be unable to make it back to the NBA Finals if he doesn't RW on his side.R. Westbrook has passed all medical/physical benchmarks in rehab. Russ, his reps, physicians & medical team agree. He will play tonight.
