It looks like the New York Yankees have found their replacement for Robinson Cano. The Yankees and veteran second baseman Brian Roberts have reportedly agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal.

The 36-year-0ld second baseman has played his entire 13-year career for the division rival Baltimore Orioles, and his signing with the Yankees caught his former team by surprise.

When healthy, Roberts has been a very productive player throughout his career. Staying healthy has been his issue, though. Roberts hasn’t played more than 80 games in a season since 2009.

This is a low-risk, high reward move by the Yankees. The team is only giving Roberts $2 million, but if he can return to his pre-injury form, he's probably worth close to $6-7-million a year.
