Peyton Manning
hopes to address his cold-weather critics and tell them to "
shove it where the sun don't shine" in two weeks when his Denver Broncos face off against the Seattle Seahawks in New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, where there's bound to be some chilly weather.
Manning fared pretty well last time in MetLife stadium, helping the Broncos get to a dominating victory over his brother Eli Manning's New York Giants earlier in the regular season. However, weather is going to be a lot colder, and for any quarterback it's going to be a struggle.
Eli is kind of used to it and says he will be offering advice to Peyton on how to overcome the battles at MetLife.
"I might have a few things for him, but I don't want to reveal that, because I don't want to give it to [Seahawks quarterback] Russell Wilson," Eli told
ESPN today. "So any tips I may have wind-wise, I would tell him in private."
Eli played in Peyton's Lucas Oil Stadium to win his second Super Bowl ring over the Patriots a couple of seasons ago. Now, Peyton is looking to win his second at Eli's house. I'm sure Peyton has offered advice on how to play in Lucas Oil, but the advice Eli will have about MetLife, I'm sure, will be a lot more valuable since it's outside.
However, Eli thinks New York's old Giants Stadium was a lot tougher in overcoming challenges than what MetLife has to offer.
"The old stadium definitely had a specific end zone and corner that you wouldn't want to throw into if it was going to be a windy night. If it is one of those windy days, then there is a little bit of local knowledge that you can give. But it's definitely not as bad as the old stadium."
I'm sure Peyton Manning won't have much of a problem in a couple of Sundays, even if he is throwing ducks again.
