The Cleveland Browns have named their new head coach today, as former Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine will take over duties as the head man.

Pettine will become the 15th head coach of the Browns. He was hired after meeting with the Browns brass for the third time. The 47-year-old was originally a dark horse candidate, but emerged as a frontrunner after several coaches went out of consideration or went elsewhere.

"It's been a lifelong dream to be an NFL head coach and however that opportunity presents itself is fine with me," Pettine said, via ESPN.

Cleveland hopes to capitalize on this hiring after firing several head coaches in just the past five years.

"We are thrilled to announce Mike Pettine as the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns," Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said. "Mike is the epitome of what we want the Browns to be -- tough, aggressive and innovative -- with a blue-collar, team-first mentality. He knows what's necessary to beat teams in the AFC North. Most importantly, Mike has repeatedly shown the ability to lead his players to consistent improvement and success, clearly what we are striving for as he leads the Cleveland Browns moving forward."

We'll see how this goes, or else we might see the Browns in this exact same situation next year.
