marquis teague january 2014Are the Chicago Bulls going for tanking mode now? After today's trade, it looks like they are heading towards that direction, and general manager Gar Forman may wants to get on the Andrew Wiggins/Jabari Parker/Joel Embiid race.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Bulls sent backup point guard Marquis Teague to the Brooklyn Nets for forward Toko Shengelia.

Teague was a first-round pick for the Bulls, but hasn't lived up quite to his expectations, most in part due to him being on the bench. He will definitely fill in the backup spot right away at Brooklyn. As for Shengelia, he'll provide depth at the forward position in Chicago.

In addition to this trade, the Nets made another one with the New Orleans Pelicans, sending Tyshawn Taylor and cash there for a future draft pick. Taylor was averaging around four points off the bench in Brooklyn this year.
