After breaking his leg almost six weeks ago during a UFC rematch with Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva is back with a vengeance as he is training again. Many thought the MMA superstar would retire, but he's looking to prove people wrong.
Here's more from the UFC website:
Silva, who ruled the UFC’s middleweight division for almost six years, was pictured at his Muay Thai College in Torrance, California this weekend lifting weights with a trainer and walking down stairs without crutches.
‘The Spider’ has been adamant about fighting again, and UFC president Dana White suggested that a return to the Octagon before the end of 2014 was possible.
Silva is a warrior. Many would have been just fine with him retiring, though his last two fights ended up being disappointing losses. Silva isn't fine with that at all, and he's looking to reclaim his title as the world's best once he returns.
Props to him.
