Chauncey Billups played for the Los Angeles Clippers from 2011-13. With him playing under racist owner Donald Sterling for two years, the veteran Detroit Pistons point guard was asked about his take on the situation.
The Clippers players played in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, only to lose by a big margin. However, they did have a bit of a protest before the game.
Billups, however, says he would have gone further than that not have played in the game at all.
“There's no way I would have played in that game,” Billups said on on ESPN Radio’s Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Russillo Show. “To be honest with you, it’s more than basketball. It’s bigger than Game 3, or Game 4 or Game 5.”
