Yep, there's really nothing the Los Angeles Clippers and Donald Sterling himself can do now to defend themselves from this racist mess. Per Sterling's girlfriend V. Stiviano, the Clippers owner knew he was being recorded.There was a lot of legal matter over the fact that Stiviano was recording phone calls with Sterling, because you can go to jail since its illegal to do that. However, according to TMZ, Sterling gave Stiviano permission to do so.
A source connected with V. Stiviano tells TMZ Sports … the full conversation lasted approximately 1 hour. We’re told Stiviano insists it was clear to Sterling at the beginning of the conversation he was being recorded.
What’s more … our sources say Stiviano routinely recorded her conversations with Sterling as HIS “archivist.” And what’s more … she would regularly play the tapes back to him because he would often forget what he had said.
Our sources say sometime after the tape was recorded on April 9 … Stiviano and Sterling got in an argument because he wanted her to sign a confidentiality agreement … which she would not.
Hours of more recording are going to be leaked. We'll just have to see which ones.
Based off how ruthless just the five minutes of the extended recording from the original recording TMZ obtained were, I can't imagine all the other things Sterling has said.
Yep, he's screwed. Just like his wife was a few hours ago.
