USA Today did a report recently on the highest paid college basketball coaches. To no surprise really, Duke's Mike Krzyzewski comes out on top as he is far ahead of the coaches under him when it regards salary.
Per the report, Coach K's salary was nearly $10 million this season. The coach in second place, Louisville's Rick Pitino, is $5.7 million.
To finish out the top 5 list are: Kentucky's John Calipari ($5.5 million), Kansas' Bill Self ($4.9 million) and Florida's Billy Donovan ($3.9 million).
Pretty crazy how far ahead Krzyzewski is ahead among all the other college basketball coaches, but I guess you can see it's well-deserved.
For one, he's led USA Basketball to multiple gold medals. NBA players even consider him a better coaches than some of the league's own.
