In a text alert from ESPN, it reads, "Knicks have expressed interest in signing free agent forward Lamar Odom, sources tell ESPN's Marc Stein."
I'm confused of why the Knicks would sign Odom so late now with only four regular season games remaining. Could it be just in case they make the playoffs, because as of right now it just doesn't seem possible.
Of course, there is that Phil Jackson connection to the team. They both met at a Knicks game to talk about Odom's life and his future.
Odom is currently dealing with some issues regarding soon-to-be ex-wife Khloe Kardashian. It doesn't help when he was in reports last summer that he was an alleged crackhead.
Odom has been on the downturn since being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks. He played with the Clippers last season, but not with much success.
We'll see what the Knicks do, but it's definitely interesting they are interested in signing him now at this point in the season.
