Legendary NFL quarterback Roger Staubach was asked who he would take No. 1 in the 2014 NFL Draft. With much debate over the topic, he gave his opinion saying he would take Johnny Manziel over Jadeveon Clowney.
"I think Manziel is a Russell Wilson-type player," Staubach said Wednesday on the NFL Network. "He doesn't have the height, (but) he has a strong arm and he throws with accuracy.
"... I just think there's something about this kid - the quickness. Today in the league, the quarterbacks can fly; we weren't allowed to do that. I think Manziel is going to be a valuable player in the NFL."
Staubach, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, was taken in the 10th round of the NFL Draft back in 1964. Staubach believes Manziel can be a Super Bowl winning quarterback like he once was.
Nice praise for the Texas A&M graduate.
