The Miami Heat are heading back to the NBA Finals. For the third straight year in the row, they have ended the Indiana Pacers' season, along with eliminating in the final game by a major margin. Miami led by nearly 40 at one point in the game. It was never close in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
LeBron James led the way with a lot of help from the Big Three and other role players like Rashard Lewis. For the Pacers, it was a disaster all night.
Lance Stephenson was more known for the smacks he had on people in this game, and Roy Hibbert was the same sucky old center we have seen this postseason. Paul George did well, but his stats were padded due to garbage time in the fourth quarter.
For the Heat, it will be their fourth straight appearance in the Finals. They are only the third time in NBA history to accomplish such a feat, joining the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. The Heat will also look to three-peat, as they will face either the San Antonio Spurs or Oklahoma City Thunder.
What is even more impressive is LeBron himself. James is now in his fifth appearance to the NBA Finals, and he's only been in the NBA for 11 years. Almost for half of his career, LeBron has made it to the Finals. Now we'll see if he can capture that elusive third ring.
For the Pacers, the offseason coming for them will be interesting. Will they keep Lance? Should they trade Roy Hibbert and/or George Hill? The offseason doesn't look like it's going to be a smooth one for the franchise.
Anyways, as a Pacers fan, congrats to the Heat. They deserved it. Pacers have had way too rocky of a season. No way do they deserve a Finals appearance for the performance they have displayed.
And as for LeBron, it's amazing to watch him play night in and night out. Best of luck to him against the Spurs or Thunder.
