Sources say that it is very likely Carmelo Anthony will just end up staying with the New York Knicks in free agency. If he does in fact end up doing so, Anthony will be making some nice money in the process.
According to ESPN New York, Anthony was offered the very max after his meeting with the Knicks in Los Angeles today. New York offered Melo the five-year, $129 million max contract.

Begley is just $1 million off with his report. ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reports that Melo was offered $97 million for the same amount of years from the Lakers after his meeting with the franchise today.

Anthony's contract would look like this if he ends up signing the max in LA:

Anthony is probably hanging out with Kobe Bryant at the time of writing, since he was
supposed to be meeting with the Black Mamba at nighttime on Thursday.
Whatever Kobe says, Anthony will definitely have to consider those $129 million from the Knicks. He also has a chance to
team up with the likes of Pau Gaosl either place he goes. It even plays the same factor if he goes to the Chicago Bulls or Houston Rockets, too.
ESPN's Chris Broussard writes that Anthony will consider all his options over the long weekend. He will be expected to make his decision afterwards.

This is going to get good, folks.
