Though LeBron James never had a plan to meet with the Los Angeles Lakers, the purple-and-gold just refuse to say "no."
According to ESPN, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak will be flying to Cleveland today to meet with LeBron's agent Rich Paul.

The Lakers are a big longshot to land James, but it looks like LA is planning to sell the idea of making James team up with Kobe Bryant and possibly create a Big Three with Carmelo Anthony.
James and Anthony, according to Chris Broussard, are expected to make their decision after this long weekend. Both of them are good friends, so they had to have talked to each other somewhat about teaming up in free agency.
With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if James pulls a 2010-like move and announces that he will join the Lakers. In addition, Carmelo would announce he's joining, too.
Imagine that, huh?
