It's been said that LeBron James will be flexible during contract negotiations during this year's NBA free agency period, so don't be surprised if he doesn't sign the typical four-to-five year max deal.
According to John Canzano of the Oregonian, LBJ wants just that. James is reportedly seeking about a one-to-two-year deal with the Miami Heat where he would make the maximum amount of money.

It definitely would make sense for James to do this deal. The Heat can't possibly make the Finals every single year like they did James' last contract. History shows that just doesn't happen.
With that said, James can contend for more championships once his contract is over after a year or two so he can evaluate his options.
Would be a smart move by him there.
