While everyone is going crazy over LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony during free agency, the Portland Trail Blazers are quietly trying to make some moves. Today, they agreed to a two-year deal with former veteran point guard Steve Blake.
According to ESPN, the deal will be worth $4.2 million. This will be yet another stint for Blake in Portland, who last played with the team from 2007-09. He then moved on to California after that to have stints on the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
Blake, 34, has averaged about seven points and four assists over his 11-year NBA career. He averaged about seven points and six assists a game last season.
Blake will likely replace Mo Williams as the team's backup point guard. Williams is a free agent and is likely to head elsewhere. Meanwhile, Blake can help mentor Damian Lillard, a young growing star in the league.

I'm sure Portland fans are happy about the move, considering Blake used to be a fan-favorite for the team. Welcome back to the Rip City, Steve.
