The Detroit Pistons are looking to add more sharpshooters to their squad, and it begins with Los Angeles Lakers free agent shooting guard Jodie Meeks.
The team signed Meeks to a three-year deal worth $19.5 million on Tuesday,
according to Yahoo Sports. In addition, they signed Cartier Martin to a one-year deal.
Meeks is the first free agent signing for the Pistons this summer as well as under new head coach and president of basketball operations, Stan Van Gundy.
Meeks had his best season in the NBA with the struggling Lakers this past season, averaging nearly 16 points a game along with shooting over 40 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
Meeks, 26, will be entering his fifth season in the league. It will be his fourth team of his career after previously playing with the Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
